Learning is a gift, even when pain is your teacher.

Lets take the time to thank the man who paved a way for us, Dr. Martin Luther King himself.

Our nation has been through so much when it comes to racial issues
and can be an uncomfortable subject for many when brought up.

But Why can’t we talk about race?

Racism is still alive today. They silence us and turn a blind eye to it as if it doesn’t exist.

But it DOES exist, whether you want to believe it or not.

So many people have fought and became martyrs’ for the way we can live today. Pain and suffering has gone on for far too long now.

Since history has a habit of repeating itself,

We need to wake up, learn the truths, face the facts and speak up.

I’m tired of being silent, I’m tired of acting as if ‘privilege’ isn’t real. 2016 should be the year we break boundaries and dive into those uncomfortable conversations. Once we’ve educated ourselves we can then educate others to help solve something thats way bigger than any of us.

Not everything that is faced can be changed but nothing can be changed until it is faced. -James Baldwin
